A Message from the President
When our kids see us involved, it boosts their sense of family pride, and they feel like a bigger part of the Heritage Heights community.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of the new and returning students, parents, and staff to the 2023-2024 school year at Heritage Heights Elementary. I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer.
Our PTA is a 100% volunteer run organization here to support the faculty, staff, parents, and most importantly, our students here at Heritage Heights. Over the years, the PTA has become one of the strongest voices in the educational process that directly supports our children and school. This year will be no different, and with all of you we just can’t miss. Over the summer your PTA Executive Board has been busy developing the details for a very productive and exciting year aimed at enhancing the educational environment for all of our students. I highly encourage each and every family to become involved in your children’s education on some level and take advantage of all that our GREAT SCHOOL has to offer.
With that said, please support us by:
- Purchasing a PTA membership for $5.00.
- Helping in the classroom or at home.
- Helping out at school events or with committees - some are during the day and most are during the evening.
- Volunteering to chair a committee and join our board.
- Supporting our fundraising efforts so we can continue to offer our great field trips, educational assemblies, awesome art program, and more!
You can keep up with school happenings by using the school directory, visiting this website, and through our emails and flyers. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me at ktgrl093@gmail.com.
I look forward to meeting, working with, and learning from all of you in the coming year! Together we will make this our best year yet!
Katie Mikos, President, Heritage Heights PTA
Parent Volunteers Make A Difference
The goal of the Heritage Heights Elementary School Volunteer Program is to enable interested parents and other citizens of the community to assist teachers and other school personnel in helping children to fully develop their skills, their potential as individuals and in their mastery of subject matter.
We have the best volunteer program anywhere. Each year over 90 parents and friends serve as volunteers annually. Volunteer applications are available in the main office. Parents and special friends can volunteer to assist in school, on field trips and at home.
As per the Sweet Home district policy, a volunteer application has to be complete for each volunteer. This includes room parents and chaperones on field trips. We want to encourage parents and other citizens from the community to assist teachers and other school personnel in helping children reach their potential. Interested volunteers should call the school office. All volunteers to our school must sign in at the office before going to any other part of the building.
